About the Event
We need your help!
Diversity Mile started as a way to push back against the message that the Confederate Park, located next to south bound I-5, sends to everyone driving on this stretch of I-5. The park is on private property, and there are not options to get the Confederate flags taken down, but we can send a different message through Diversity Mile.
To get started, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxIh67-l74&authuser=0
and fill out this volunteer form. You can put "Diversity Mile" in the question at the end [Thank you very much for your interest in volunteering with us! Is there anything else you would like us to know about you].
Once you have completed these 2 steps you are ready to go!
On Oct 24, meet at the south end of the rest area. Rebecca will have all the supplies you need.
